What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system of medicine which is based on treating the individual with highly diluted substances given in mainly tablet form. This then triggers the body's natural system of healing.
It works on the principle of 'like cures like' - that is - a substance that would cause symptoms in a healthy person, is used to treat those same symptoms in illness. For example: Coffea is a remedy that can be prescribed for insomnia. Coffea is a remedy made from coffee.
A Homeopath will match your individual symptoms to match remedies that create the same symptoms in their crude form. Because everyone is different, people suffering from the same 'illness' could be given different remedies. Homeopathy treats the person and not just the illness.
